About the role
As a Project Product Quality Engineer, you will ensure quality across the entire development process, even with a high pace. You'll drive proactive risk identification, mitigation, and continuous learning within projects, while also challenging senior engineers constructively. This role is crucial for strengthening project execution and improving our ways of working for product quality.

Work tasks
This role focuses on integrating quality assurance throughout the product development lifecycle. You will be embedded within projects, facilitating risk analysis, driving root cause investigations, and continuously improving our quality processes to ensure robust and reliable product delivery.
- Facilitate CTF/Q identification and DFMEA or Change-FMEA in development and redesign projects.
- Guide analyses toward real failure mechanisms, system behavior, and subsystem interfaces.
- Support projects in fulfilling defined proactive quality expectations by adding capacity and structure.
- Add hands-on capacity to facilitate structured root cause analysis for production or field-driven issues.
- Coach project, R&D, Operations, and GSD teams in how to perform effective RCA.
- Help bridge design intent, production reality, and field behavior.
- Ensure relevant input from Operations and GSD is included early in design processes.
We are looking for
- Engineering degree, preferably in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Electronics, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Experience with complex, multi-subsystem products.
- Practical experience in development projects or major redesigns.
- Proven application of xFMEA, DfX (Design for Manufacturing, Testability, Serviceability) and structured Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience collaborating with R&D, Operations, and Service teams.
- Strong risk-based thinking in product development.
- Ability to pragmatically use CTF/CTQ, xFMEA, and RCA as practical problem-solving tools.
- Good understanding of system and interface risks.
It is meritorious if you have
- Good knowledge of Swedish.
- Experience with low-volume, high-complexity products.
